Normally, you will accept the default 119. Do not change this value unless advised to by your Internet Service Provider or news administrator. NNTP general timeout The time to wait for commands from an NNTP server or for a response after issuing an NNTP server a command, before disconnecting. NNTP greeting timeout The time to wait for an initial response after attempting a connection to an NNTP server, before disconnecting. NNTP data timeout The time to wait for news confirmations or for data during news reception before disconnecting.
